The best roofing software in 2026

“Roofing software” is five different products, and most roofing companies end up buying three of them without ever deciding to. This page maps the whole field by the job it does, prices every tool from the vendor's own page, and says plainly where each one stops. We make one of these, so read it the way you would read any vendor's comparison — the trade we can offer is that nothing here is a number we made up.

Start here

Five categories, and you probably need three

Almost every bad software decision in roofing comes from comparing two products that were never doing the same job. Work out which of these you are shopping for before you take a demo.

Operations

The system of record — jobs, contacts, the pipeline, documents, money. This is what most people mean by "roofing CRM", and it is the one you should choose first because everything else has to hand off into it.

HailMate, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Roofr, RoofLink

The CRM comparison

Canvassing

Territories, pins, dispositions, rep tracking and leaderboards. Storm companies live here for six weeks after an event and barely open it the rest of the year — which is exactly why per-seat pricing hurts.

The canvassing roundup

Measurement and estimating

Getting a measured roof and turning it into a number. Some of this is a subscription, some is priced per report, and the per-report cost is the part that quietly adds up.

How measurements work

Photo documentation

Capture against a checklist, date and GPS stamps, annotations, branded reports. On an insurance job this is not administration — it is the evidence the claim pays on.

Storm data

Where the hail actually fell, at street level, with a size on it. Every roofing CRM in this list except HailMate sells you nothing here, which is why most storm companies are paying a second vendor for a map.

Nine tools, every published price

Read off each vendor's own site, September 2026. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the table says “quote only” rather than repeating a number from a listicle.

What each one is actually for

Ordered by how many roofing companies they fit, not by which is “best” — several of these are not competing for the same job at all.

01

HailMate

$79–$499/moOperations + storm data

The hail maps and the canvassing, with the CRM already included

Pricing
Flat per company, not per seat: $79/mo one state and one user, $149/mo three states and up to three, $299/mo nationwide up to ten, $499/mo nationwide with no seat limit. Annual is ten months' price. Published, month-to-month, no setup fee, texting and a phone number included.
Source: hailmate.ai/pricing
Best for
Storm restoration crews who want the map, the door knock and the paperwork on one bill, and small companies who cannot justify three subscriptions. It is the only product here where the swath that proves the claim and the job record are the same system.

Watch out

Storm restoration is the whole design. If you run pure retail replacement with no insurance work and no canvassing, half of what you are paying for is territory you never open. The archive is three years, not fifteen, and there is no forecasting or forensic reporting.

02

AccuLynx

$250/mo and upOperations (CRM)

The enterprise incumbent, now owned by Verisk

Pricing
Essential is vendor-confirmed at $250/mo. Pro and Elite are quote-only and priced per seat. E-signature, the homeowner portal, texting and the canvassing connector are separately priced add-ons. The terms auto-renew annually despite "cancel anytime" marketing. Verisk acquired AccuLynx in 2025.
Source: acculynx.com/pricing
Best for
Larger companies with an office staff to run it, high job volume, and a genuine need for the reporting depth. It is the most complete back office in the category and the onboarding investment is real.

Watch out

The price you are quoted is rarely the price you pay: seats, add-ons and onboarding stack on top, and the annual term is harder to leave than the marketing suggests.

HailMate vs AccuLynx
03

JobNimbus

Quote onlyOperations (CRM)

The most-used roofing CRM, and the least transparent about price

Pricing
JobNimbus publishes no price list. Third-party estimates put the base around $225–$550/mo plus per-seat charges. The Engage texting add-on is reported at $49–$249/mo plus a $20 setup fee. Card processing runs around 3.2%, which is roughly $480 on a $15,000 roof paid by card.
Source: jobnimbus.com/pricing
Best for
Companies that want the largest integration ecosystem in roofing and are comfortable negotiating their own price. Widely used for a reason — it does most things adequately.

Watch out

Texting is an add-on with a setup fee, the payment markup is a real line item at roofing ticket sizes, and the mobile app is the most common complaint in reviews.

HailMate vs JobNimbus
04

Roofr

$0–$349/moOperations + measurement

Grew out of measurement reports, now sells a CRM around them

Pricing
Free, $109, $249 and $349 per month, roughly 15% less on annual terms, with unlimited users on every tier — a genuine differentiator. Measurement reports are always extra at $13–$19 each, SMS is +$49/mo, the Instant Estimator is +$125/mo and Sites is +$99/mo.
Source: roofr.com/pricing
Best for
Retail replacement companies that live on fast, good-looking proposals and want unlimited seats without per-user maths. The proposal builder is the best-looking one in roofing.

Watch out

It is built for retail, not insurance. If most of your revenue arrives through a carrier, the part of the job that decides your margin is the part Roofr does not touch.

HailMate vs Roofr
05

RoofLink

$120–$160/user/moOperations (CRM)

A storm-restoration CRM, priced per rep

Pricing
$120 per user per month flat, or $160 per user per month bundled with SalesRabbit Pro and its add-ons. A setup fee is described as varying; figures around $1,500 are cited but unverified. Owned by SalesRabbit since November 2024.
Source: rooflink.com/pricing
Best for
Storm companies that genuinely want per-rep pricing because their headcount swings hard with the season and they would rather pay only for the reps who are working.

Watch out

Per-user pricing is the whole story. A five-rep shop is $600–$800/mo before the setup fee, and hiring six canvassers for three weeks after a storm is expensive in exactly the month you can least afford it.

HailMate vs RoofLink
06

SalesRabbit

$49–$75/user/moCanvassing

The best-known door-knocking app, and it still needs a CRM behind it

Pricing
Pro is $49 per user per month on annual terms, $75 month-to-month; Team is $59 monthly. Add-ons are all per user per month: DataGrid AI +$19–31, Weather +$13–20, Digital Contracts +$13–20, Movers +$13–20. Paid implementation is required, contracts run one to three years, and there are no refunds.
Source: salesrabbit.com/pricing
Best for
Big canvassing operations that already have a CRM they like and want the best rep-management layer in front of it.

Watch out

The fully loaded cost per rep lands around $94–$146/user/mo once the add-ons you actually need are on, and it is still a second bill next to your CRM. The "$19/user" figure circulating online is the DataGrid add-on price, not the base.

HailMate vs SalesRabbit
07

RoofSnap

$52–$105/user/moMeasurement + estimating

The cheapest serious way to get a measured roof and an estimate off it

Pricing
Monthly starts at $105 per user. Annual is $78/user/mo at 2–4 users, $61 at 5–9 and $52 at 10 or more. Pay-as-you-go measurement orders start at $13 for a Half Snap; gutter reports are $15 and lighting $18. A 7-day free trial is offered with no card.
Source: roofsnap.com/pricing
Best for
Anyone who needs measurements and material takeoffs without an EagleView-sized report bill. The pay-as-you-go rate is the lowest-commitment entry in the whole category.

Watch out

It is a measuring and estimating tool, not a business system. Everything that happens after the estimate still needs somewhere to live.

08

CompanyCam

$63–$199/moPhoto documentation

Jobsite photos done properly, as a standalone subscription

Pricing
Core $63/mo for one user, Crew $129/mo for three, Scale $199/mo for three, all billed annually, with extra users at +$29/user/mo on annual terms. Monthly billing is roughly 20% higher. A ten-person crew on Crew is about $332/mo for photos alone.
Source: companycam.com/pricing
Best for
Companies whose CRM has weak photo handling and whose documentation is genuinely costing them claims. It is very good at the one thing it does.

Watch out

Most modern roofing platforms now include checklist photo capture, stamps and branded reports. Check what you already pay for before adding a fourth bill.

HailMate vs CompanyCam
09

Hail Recon (Interactive Hail Maps)

$999–$1,999/yrStorm data

The deepest hail archive, sold on its own

Pricing
$999 a year for a single state, $1,499 for three states, $1,999 nationwide, paid up front or split monthly. Bulk homeowner contact data is a separate $799 a year per state. Archive back to January 2011.
Source: interactivehailmaps.com/pricing-page
Best for
Historical claim research, litigation support, and buying homeowner contact lists for a market. If your business runs on old loss dates, archive depth is worth real money.

Watch out

It is an annual commitment, the contact data is priced per state on top, and every yes at the door becomes a handoff into a second system.

HailMate vs Hail Recon
The number that matters

What the typical stack actually costs

Nobody compares tier prices in the end — they compare bills. This is a five-rep storm crew running the combination most of the industry runs, using the published prices above.

Piece of the stackLowHigh
CRM (AccuLynx Essential, or a JobNimbus estimate)$250$550
Canvassing, 5 reps fully loaded (SalesRabbit)$470$730
Photos (CompanyCam Crew plus 2 extra seats)$187$187
Hail maps (Hail Recon, monthly equivalent)$83$167
Total per month~$990~$1,634
HailMate Team — all of it, one bill$299/mo

The hail-map line uses Hail Recon's published annual rate divided across twelve months, because it is the only hail subscription in this comparison with a public price. HailTrace does not publish one, so no total on this site folds a HailTrace subscription in — be skeptical of any article that does.

The short version

  • Storm restoration, and tired of three bills? HailMate. Maps, canvassing, claims and invoicing on one subscription, flat per company, from $79/mo.
  • Large company, office staff, deep reporting? AccuLynx — and budget for the add-ons and the annual term.
  • Want the biggest integration ecosystem? JobNimbus, once you have negotiated a price out of them.
  • Retail replacement, no insurance work? Roofr. Unlimited users on a published price is rare and genuinely valuable.
  • Headcount swings hard with the season? RoofLink's per-rep pricing is a real argument, if you actually take reps off in the winter.
  • Just need squares and a price? RoofSnap, at $13 a report with no subscription.
  • Only your documentation is broken? CompanyCam — after you check what your CRM already includes.
Roofing software FAQ

Choosing roofing software, answered

It depends which of five jobs you are trying to solve, and that is not a dodge — it is the single most useful thing to understand about this category. Operations platforms (AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Roofr, RoofLink, HailMate) run the business. Canvassing apps (SalesRabbit, SPOTIO) run the door knock. Measurement and estimating tools (RoofSnap, EagleView, Hover, Xactimate) produce the number. Photo tools (CompanyCam) produce the evidence. Storm data (HailTrace, Hail Recon, HailMate) tells you where to go. Most roofing companies buy three of the five and pay three bills. If you run storm restoration, HailMate is the one product that covers operations, canvassing, photo documentation and storm data on a single subscription.
