Less than most crews pay for hail maps alone

Hail Recon publishes $999 a year for one state — maps alone. HailTrace won't publish a number at all; every paid tier is a sales call. HailMate starts at $79 a month for that same state, with the canvassing that runs on it and the whole CRM behind it. No per-seat fees, no setup fees, no add-ons, no contracts.

No feature gating, no add-on menu. Every rung runs the whole loop — storm, map, knock, pin, job, estimate, check. What climbs is how much ground you can cover and how many people can cover it with you.

What a hail map costs on its own

The map is the part you actually buy for. Everyone else sells it as its own subscription, in its own app, with its own login — and you still need somewhere to put the knock, the claim, and the check.

HailTrace

Hail maps and storm data

Subscription pricing is not published — Maps Only, Maps & Data and Enterprise all route to a sales call. The published prices are per report: $40 weather history, $150 meteorologist-reviewed, $1,000 certified forensic. Separate app and login on top of whatever CRM you already pay for.

Hail Recon

Hail maps + basic canvassing

Published rates as of April 2026: $999/yr one state, $1,499/yr three states, $1,999/yr nationwide. No estimates, claims workflow, or invoicing. Homeowner contact data is another $799/yr per state.

HailMate Starter

One state of hail maps + canvassing + the full CRM

The same state Hail Recon sells for $999 a year, at $588 — with NOAA-verified swaths on your canvassing map, GPS door knocking, claims pipeline, estimates and invoicing, none of which they sell at any price.

$79/mo

HailTrace does not publish subscription pricing; the per-report rates above are from their own site. Hail Recon rates are the vendor's published plans as of April 2026, read via the Internet Archive because the live pricing page sits behind Cloudflare. Hail Recon is also published as Interactive Hail Maps — same company, same subscription.

Do the math

And the maps are only one line of the bill

Running a 5-rep storm crew on the usual setup means hail maps, a canvassing app, a CRM, and a pile of add-ons — across three or four separate contracts.

FAQ

Pricing questions

Because the map is one feature here, not the whole product. Standalone hail map tools have to charge for the map alone: Hail Recon publishes $999/yr for one state up to $1,999/yr nationwide (rates as of April 2026), and HailTrace doesn’t publish subscription pricing at all — Maps Only, Maps & Data and Enterprise are all contact-us, and the only rates they list are per report ($40 weather history, $150 meteorologist-reviewed, $1,000 certified forensic). We build the map on the same NOAA radar data and render it directly on your canvassing map, then earn the subscription across everything else you do with it: knocking, claims, supplements, estimates, invoicing.

Claim your state

Every storm in it at street level, alerts the morning after hail lands, and the canvassing and CRM that turn a swath into a signed job.
