Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. Follow the steps below to request deletion of your HailMate account and associated data.

How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion using any of the following methods:

Option 1: From the App

  1. Open the HailMate app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm your identity by entering your password
  5. Tap Permanently Delete Account

Option 2: Via Email

Send an email to contact@hailmate.ai with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your HailMate account. We will process your request within 7 business days.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account profile and login credentials
  • Jobs, tasks, and project data
  • Contacts and customer information
  • Estimates and documents
  • Photos and uploaded files
  • SMS/MMS message history
  • Canvassing data and map pins
  • AI assistant conversation history
  • Notification preferences and settings

What Data May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for a limited period as required by law or legitimate business purposes:

  • Billing and payment records — retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance
  • SMS opt-in/opt-out records — retained for up to 5 years for regulatory compliance (TCPA)
  • Anonymized analytics data — aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained indefinitely

All retained data is stored securely and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties beyond what is required for legal compliance.

Processing Timeline

  • In-app deletion: Your account is deactivated immediately. Data deletion is completed within 30 days.
  • Email request: We will confirm your request within 7 business days. Data deletion is completed within 30 days of confirmation.

Once deletion is complete, this action cannot be undone. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use HailMate again.
